Puppy
Runescape Christmas event. <3
(Imma geek, I know.)
(I had another dream about Torchwood. My third one, in which Ianto and Tosh started having urges to kill people after being brainwashed by some website they were researching, and Ianto did kill Jack. Only Jack can't die, so yeah. Then there were the evil fairy things and a lot of panic and some real life people and Morgana (from Merlin) held them off with magic while we escaped. And we got lost. And I woke up.)

Ohno! part 2.
(Warning: highlight for Torchwood spoilers)
Okay I realised that it was a good thing that I know who exactly will die because ow ow ow heartbreak otherwise, but I really didn't need to know which exact episode Ianto gets killed off!! Spoils the element of surprise, and now I won't be able to watch that episode with any enjoyment, I'd be waiting for it all the time. Ugh.
Oh Ianto. )))))))))))))))))):
I was wiki-ing Gareth David-Lloyd, ahhhh. Got to stop googling Torchwood obsessively. Will strictly abstain from reading anything Torchwood related that does not pertain solely to season one.
Also, I have so many Torchwood icons I stole from the internets!! And then I titled them and added the username of the creator of the icon. Such a freak, I am.
Ohno!
Crap! Kings of Convenience tickets sold out before I even knew they were coming.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Giraffe
Hi friends.
What have I been doing with this excess of free time?
1. Looking for a job (but this only lasted about two days)
2. Shopping (I got a pair of shoes + two shirts in three days, more than I've bought in the past two years)
3. Computerrrrrrrr.
(a) Fire Emblem, Zoo Tycoon, Harvestmoon
(b) KOREAN DRAMA HAHA
(c) TORCHWOOD. It's not that good, vaguely disappointing (I had high expectations though), but I am crazy addicted to it. Welsh accents are so difficult to decipher, Gwen is kind of a Mary Sue but I feel guilty for being annoyed with her because everyone else seems to love her. And when I started watching I was already biased towards Ianto but he barely appears at all. ): (With the exception of Cyberwoman, he's really adorable when he does appear though.)
I watched eight episodes of Torchwood yesterday. And thank goodness I know the spoilers already or else I would be so terribly heartbroken when characters start dying.
One of my new shirts is yellow and has a giraffe + tree on it. It's a girl shirt but I think my brother didn't know and liked it and wanted to wear it. When he tried it on he was like why are the sleeves like that!!!!

Unicorns and rainbows!
Today was a pretty emotional experience. Muse tickets- went to Vivo with my sister but the lady at the Sistic counter said all standing tickets were sold out. This was at 1pm, three hours after they started the sale of tickets. I think my sister and I were pretty comical, my jaw literally dropped and we started freaking out. We were really upset, but we got the next best seats available.
So we went home and checked online, they said tickets were still available. We got our mum to try to buy them online, and she said she could. We were pretty frantic, and at that point we were totally prepared to buy standing tickets and try to sell our five extra tickets off. Then I called Padma, and she provided the extremely reasonable, rational solution of calling the Sistic hotline to see if we could change/refund the tickets. (My sister and I were pretty much like chickens with our heads cut off at that point... No rational thinking for us.)
So I did, and I could upgrade the tickets, but I had to go to the Indoor Stadium to do it. My mum volunteered to do it for me tomorrow, but my sister and I wanted to go right away in case they sold out before then. And I have a paper tomorrow morning, which I need to study for, so it would be a pretty stupid thing to spend four hours trying to get tickets to Muse.
But my mum is awesome because she called Sistic and apparently we can just go to Vivo to upgrade so yay!! Still have one extra ticket though, does anyone want it? Yuhua? Alpha?
So in conclusion: My mum and Padma are awesome, I am useless in a crisis, and I need to find someone else to go for Muse with us.
Muuuuuuuuuuse! \o/

Someday I will make a playlist...
Also, is anyone interested in watching Cat Power with me, if Angelia doesn't want to? She'll be performing here in January, tickets start at $40 I think.

Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses
The Twilight soundtrack is going to be better than the movie. I mean! Thom Yorke, Muse, Death Cab, Grizzly Bear? Are they trying to make people who refuse to watch the movie buy the soundtrack? :/ At least half of those are indie artists. And the idea of Thom Yorke writing a song for a teenage vampire film is kind of upsetting. Although people have pointed out that a) we get a new song! and b) Exit Music was a good song, and it was written for teenage Romeo and Juliet.
Okay that's done with... This is adorable.
I watched like ten different performances of this. *sheepish* And I'm not even a big fan of the The Fray. They are so cute though, and they're having so much fun. And I love the singer's voice and the way he speaks Spanish. *cough*
Also, Thom is all kinds of brilliant and has new songs you can listen to here. And I should not read comments... They are endlessly amusing but also upsetting. Youtube wars for the win. Heh.
Edit: I end Prelims tomorrow! For anyone who's asking.

Mondays is for drinking to the seldom seen kid
Oh my god.
This is amazing.
Did I mention I love strings? And brass? So much. Orchestral version of just about anything will make me happy. 3.14 makes me want to cry.
And to quote one of the comments: cant stop listening to this when the full orchestra comes in at the end.....3.13 to be just mildly obsessed the hairs on my neck feel like ive put my fingers in a plug socket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another one:
P.S- Natalie misses me! Hee.

Yesterday my brother was watching track and field events on TV and he was commenting on how scary the runners' thighs were and I said did you notice how triangular some of them are, especially swimmers, and he said Michael Phelps looks like a guardian wolf (on wolfteam) which cracked me up so hard. (Okay I can't find a good picture but it's true.)
Armed with coffee and bio notes and I have to study before I fall asleep again.

OMG BLOGGER WORKS AGAIN
I heart Owen Pallett. (Happy 30th birthday!)
Will someone throw me a birthday party featuring thirty bands for my thirtieth birthday? It would be so awesomely cool. Though probably more fun in theory than in practice...
I have Dark Was The Night!!!! More hearts liek srsly.
And randomly, a quote from the Dark Was The Night album website:
2 tickets to see Dark Was The Night Live at Radio City on May 3. (No nose bleeds…Orchestra seats. These seats are “Matt Berninger might possibly step on you” great.)
...Matt Berninger! (He's the singer for The National, scroll down to listen.)
Had study session of sorts with Jasmine and Gail and umm I did not really study but Gail obviously did. But it was awesome to hang out with them again. And Hamsty I can't believe you like the smell of markers/glue/petrol!!
'If I were an enzyme I'd be a DNA helicase so I could unzip your genes.'
I read this yesterday, BEST PICKUP LINE EVER. It's so bio geek.

Let's needlessly burn lots of fuel
Fisichella took pole in Belgium! And now (race ongoing), Raikkonen is first and Fisichella is second. Which is really weird, Fisichella's never placed this well before (I think). And there is a distinct lack of familiar names in the first few positions, Jenson Button and Hamilton are out. And google is failing to tell me why. Interesting season, this.
Kimi. :D
Edit: This is like, the most interesting race of the season? And there have been a few. I am actually sitting in front of the TV to watch it, usually I just come down at intervals to check the placings.
And, I like Kimi but I kind of want Fisichella to win! A little. It's the underdog thing. Force India outdoing Ferrari! The... F1 people(?) would love it. And hahaha what's with the sudden fighting spirit? Everyone seems to be aggressive on track today.

It was a slippery slippery slippery slope
New favourite album: Thom Yorke's The Eraser
Not-so-new favourite song: Slow Show by The National
I should learn how to put audio only... But the video's nice.
Love Matt Berninger's voice.
Edit: Also? I think Christopher Bear has to be one of the best names ever.

Thank you hobos! For the surprise that was actually pretty convincing up 'till the last part. (:
There was a picnic with fly swatting and much squealing, ruffles sandwiches and two really horrifying/amusing camwhoring act cute girls. And then there was a long walk and a cat and ice cream!
I don't feel so bad about being older anymore. Thank you awesome people. <3
It's 3am now but I must admit, I cheated. Fell asleep before midnight and just woke up. Sleep dissipates angst! Do try it. (:
Tell me am I right, to think that there could be nothing better;

Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Part II
Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
I think of this as my dad's guitar music. It's got awesome guitar and sax solos.
I wasn't able to find a full version, Youtube has time limits. This song has nine parts, I think this shows parts I-V. On the album, it's 13mins, I think a bit of where he was singing got cut out.
Remember when you were young,

Take me, take me to the riot
I have made a mixtape!! Okay it's not an actual tape which significantly reduces the coolness level, but.
It's for Angelia, because she showed me the website and asked me to make one for her. And also, I owe her for making her wait one and a half hours in total. So now we're even. :D
Horsey it is 3am now okay!! Please tell me I am awesome.
It consists of pretty indie pop (in general), and will probably put you to sleep. But I promise it's pretty. Oh and it's not as happy as I wanted it to be, but uhh I don't think I have a lot of happy music. And anyway you already have most of the stuff I thought you would like.
Edit: I received a comment! Heh. You have no idea how happy that makes me.

Service Bell
Hiiiiii.
I am listening to Service Bell compulsively. And I don't even have the track so I have to click play on Youtube every two minutes. It's so gorgeous. Here it is:

Actually since I heard the Dark was the Night compilation yesterday, I have been listening to little else when I am on the computer.
Metric when I am out. They are so addictive and Gimme Sympathy gets stuck in my head all the time. I heart Emily Haines, she is so pretty and stylish, and her voice is prettier. Studied with Angelia yesterday, we switched ipods and she was introduced to Metric while I acquainted myself with Dark was the Night. <3
Sleepless by The Decemberists. I am madly in love with this. It made my day (night) when I heard it yesterday, and it's so beautiful and makes me happy. Love Colin Meloy's voice. And the piano + strings + everything about the song. Except maybe the super repetitive chorus but I don't really mind listening to it a thousand times over.
Am being surprisingly generous today, must be the pretty music.

Of salt and brine's made me sleepy

of Evan and Chan
We were on a tour bus of some sort. Don't know who we were, just some assortment of people I know. Parents included. Then one by one my band friends and percussion juniors started preparing for a sleepover. OH YES and my cousins and sister too. And I remember seeing Sherry and Ri Sheng and Celine but there were more people. Anyway they would go into this room (my dreams are never logical) and come out all packed up and bulging.
They left one by one for the sleepover. And I asked someone where it was held, and the answer was Queenstown. Which was apparently Celine's house (though I doubt this is true in RL). The last of them left together in a group. We were driving through a desert and I caught a glimpse of a horseman with a whip and everything, who was apparently bringing them back to civilation? the city? no idea. And I wasn't packed when they left even though I wanted to join them but there was no time and no one else to bring me back. So I had to continue on the bus.
We reached our destination. And um, there were pigs. Like as the bus was turning into the carpark thing, there were pigs everywhere. Big ugly pink ones and smaller cow ones (spotted like black and white cows, but fluffy and with bigger ears) and tiny little pink piglets. And I wanted to take a picture of one and a guy outside with the pigs held one up for me but the bus moved forward and I couldn't take the picture.
In a dream that might have been related if I remembered the missing parts, we were on a spaceship (different people, not anyone I know personally). And someone, I think me, went out to kill some things? But I was still on the ship, as a different person I think.
Anyway there was some crisis so we needed to evacuate. And there was this pod thing leading to the escape pod (my impression was that it was a plastic bag. ??) but it was broken and could only fit two but the four of us left (the others had already got in) just got in anyway and held on and we went upupup. And we got into the escape pod but I said 'Where is [me]??' because I thought it was unfair they were leaving [me] behind.
So four of us got out again, ran... somewhere but one of us turned out to be a traitor and the three (four??) of us scrambled back to the escape pod. (Do not question the screwy numbers, my subconsciousness does not appear to be able to count.) And we grabbed on to it just as it was leaving and the compund was going to explode. Or something. But someone got left behind and I let her because I was too busy trying to save my own life. Which sort of disturbs me.
And then we scrambled into the pod and it appeared over a city, this market-like place. I think it was 'our' world that got taken over or something. And my character (Not me, It might have been Claire. From Heroes.) was piloting it and trying not to get noticed because there were authority figures hunting us down. And it was a little bit scary, trying to get as high as possible. Because it was steered with my mind, and to go higher I had to concentrate. But it kept dropping back down.
So yes we were looking for some housing thingy?? I have no idea why. Only we had no idea where it was (aerial view of city) and the people after us knew what we wanted to find. We flew past various places trying to give them the slip. I remember hiding in a tree while plotting to fly past this heavily guarded (military?) facility to get to another section of the city and our hunters came by. So instead we flew past this research building that was um, emitting radiation. And we were all :o. And I started having a meltdown so someone else took over. Niki, from Heroes. Because I remember her face at the table at a cafe we stopped at. Only she started having a meltdown too.
Right before I woke up, I dreamt of three people in a classroom who were putting on gloves and something else from a pack of three. They was kind of Barbie doll sized in the packet but they fit them just fine. There was gold, silver and black and they were trading so that no one got gloves and the something else of the same colour.
That is all that my brain gave me before I woke up at 9.30am, extremely sleep deprived.

Transatlanticism
The Atlantic was born today and I'll tell you how
The clouds above opened up and let it out
I was standing on the surface of a perforated sphere
When the water filled every hole
And thousands upon thousands made an ocean,
Making islands where no island should go
Oh no
Those people were overjoyed, they took to their boats
I thought it less like a lake, and more like a moat
The rhythm of my footsteps crossing flatlands to your door
Have been silenced forever more
The distance is quite simply much too far for me to row
It seems farther than ever before
Oh no
I need you so much closer
I need you so much closer
So come on, come on
The clouds above opened up and let it out
I was standing on the surface of a perforated sphere
When the water filled every hole
And thousands upon thousands made an ocean,
Making islands where no island should go
Oh no

In the deepest ocean,
MATT HALES IS <3!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Yes I am sorry but I just needed to get that out. He is adorable. No kidding. His blog(?) posts always make me all melty and smiley. And after reading his latest I kind of imploded and went AWWWWWWWWWW and I really needed to get it out so yes here I am typing this.
Strange and beautiful, he is.
Saw a cat on the way back. Was clean and cute and I Interacted with it. A little.
Watched Terminator Salvation which was actually pretty good (I am really not a movie person) but umm really sometimes I think they just throw the romance in for the fun of it.
Skynet (okay I can't remember the name now) reminds me of Mordor!! Everytime they had scenes with the outskirts of Skynet I would just be all Frodo!Mordor!MountDOom! Hee, LotR geek I am.
Oh and after the movie ended Jamie leaned across to talk to me and the first thing she said was 'Christian Bale is very good looking!'
Had buffet lunch and okay I realised why everyone looked at me weird when I said I was going home for dinner. I'm still full, and I haven't eaten dinner. (Just watermelon and some chips and Twisties. Hah.)
I got tons of new songs from everyone's favourite Hamster and they make me so happy. Rachael Yamagata made me want to listen to her whole album which is rare because I get bored so easily.
And Feist. So brilliant.
P.S- It is cold (cool?) for the first time in forever!!!!1 Which is awesome but I am wearing a jacket even though I like the cold but it really is kind of cold.
This is how my heart behaves

Your eyes,
Helloz.
I just read an article about Twitter in the paper and the only reason I bothered to read it was because Owen Pallett tweets. Prior to my discovery of his Twitter page, I couldn't care less. Oh well.
My knees acheeeeeeeee. I feel old. On the bus today my hips were aching. Srzly. I have no idea how that happened.
Had my Econs paper today, which was all very well for... the first half hour or so. And after that I was just randomly throwing stray half formed notions of impacts and policies in.
After that, there was lunch and boring SGC briefing which made me laugh at first because it could also stand for Stargate Command.
And then to town to use my Kino vouchers. And I bought a copy of The Time Traveler's Wife! Am happy.
Btw, books are expensive. (Hardcover of Trudi Canavan's new book was like $40, which is very very sad.)
Borders layout nicer than Kino's. But no more Swordspoint sequel. However, just got another discount coupon in the mail. Which will be used for Kushiel's Mercy (and to fund mine and Pam's future library). <- I just retyped that thing in brackets about five times and I know it's still wrong but I honestly have no idea how it's supposed to be. English = fail.
HMV has nice CDs. Must remember not to go there often, staff will remember me as weird random person who spends an hour staring at CDs but not buying anything.
Their only Final Fantasy album is gone!
Oh yeah, and for some reason most of the pretty music that I want happens to be imported and costs like $30 an album. :/ (So if anyone happens to be going overseas, please let me know...)
I want vinyls! So pretty and classic, though I have nothing to play them on. (I went to look up vinyls on Wikipedia, and I kind of want to be an audiophile. Only, too much techobabble so I can't be bothered.)
Now that my next exams are three weeks away and I am not in immediate danger of failing, slacking does not seem to be as attractive. It's my default state anyway, but I do not feel the urge to start stalking people on the internet or whatever.
It is past nine, I can go look for food without being too much of a pig!
Cheers.
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together
(I think I might like The Beatles!)

Two thongs don't make a right
Hi I've been going through the archives of Radiohead's Dead Air Space all morning, watching Whose Line all afternoon, and now it's 7pm and my Econs is going to hell.
A few points to mention.
1. DREW.
2. RYAN.
3. COLIN.
4. WAYNE.
5. RYAN AND COLIN. (in no order of merit)
6. I have Radiohead pictures! Tons and tons of them.
7. JONNY IN HOODIE.
8. Leslie Feist and Owen Pallett were at a Radiohead concert with Ed Droste.
UM HI RADIOHEAD FEIST AND OWENPALLETT TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME. SO MUCH AWESOME.

Volcano
I am watching American Idol. HAHA. I never thought I would see this day.
In my defense, my brother turned the TV to American Idol which is the only reason I am watching it. Heh.
I went running with him just now. With being a very optimistic sort of term. Him being in track and me having zero stamina. And my sentence structure sucks but I really don't care.
I am such a pig, I've been eating all day and I just had blackforest cake again.
What I really wanted to say was, Gareth Pugh is kind of really attractive. (As of the Audi Fashion Festival, because some photos of him on google are really weird. And there was one of him wearing what looked sort of like with women's clothing with this really pretty guy in leather.) Oh and he kind of reminds me of Owen Pallett, what with the fringe and all. I am quite susceptible to the charms of cute emo-ish guys.
OKAY I shall go do some homework now instead of googling Owen Pallett's boyfriend. (Yeah right.)
Vocanoes melt you down.
The Boney King Of Nowhere
I just had lunch. Yum, Lor mee. (:
And strawberries!
I realise I'm horribly behind on schoolwork. Well, it's not a new thing, but I just realised the magnitude of it. I filed my stuff though! Some of it. My house has like 1000x more dust than anyone else's, by the way.
Oh yeah if I happened to lend any of my books to anyone, can you please let me know? Because I can't find some of them and it's quite worrying. One of them is Priestess Of The White by Trudi Canavan OH YES SHE HAS ANOTHER BOOK OUT SET IN THE BLACK MAGICIAN TRILOGY WORLD I think. I can't wait until she releases the Traitor Spy series or whatever it's called! (Akkarin's son (: (who has the unfortunate name of Lorkin)) Okay and the others I can't find are my Weather Warden books.
I just finished reading The Railway Children (again). It's one of those childhood books that I'll reread at random. It gives me a pleasant feeling, for some reason. Heh. I like Bobbie, even though she's so prissy sometimes. I think everyone's supposed to like her. And everything and everyone is so idyllic and perfect, even when they're not. And I like the author's voice. As in, her style of writing and way she speaks to the readers.
And to end off, because I happened to find it, I will treat you to an unglam photo of my ex-pseudo-girlfriend. :D
Why so green and lonely?
We are accidents
Waiting, waiting to happen

Optimistic
In Catholic school, as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised, by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
'Son, fear is the heart of love'
And I never went back
I got my knuckles bruised, by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
'Son, fear is the heart of love'
And I never went back

Bodysnatchers
There's a lump in my throat, I think I am going to get a sore throat. Crap!
I live in terror at the thought that the timpani for SYF is going to be the step and release kind. As opposed to the one where you can just move the note up and down without releasing the pedal. Ugggh. Okay all barriers are in the mind, and if I tell myself I can't do it I really won't be able to, and stuff like that...
After SYF is going to be really weird, my life would feel so empty. I'm going to miss band.
And I freaked out when I realised that I completely forgot about Bio SPA. DS just reminded me on MSN, thank goodness. Band has eaten my brain.
Everytime I watch Japan Hour I miss Jap.
It's raining!

Last Flowers
I am reading!!
Not really deliberate on my part, I didn't go to the library or force myself to read a book, I just did. :D It was something I bought a while ago in Borders and yesterday I just picked it up and started reading. And today I came home and continued and I am hooked. And okay I stopped because I have to do Bio prac but I am still hooked.
OKAY IF ALEC DIES PEOPLE WILL SUFFER. IF RICHARD DIES PEOPLE WILL SUFFER MORE but Richard's not going to die.
I'm just saying, people keep dying in my books. Like Akkarin and Delaunay and Alcuin and Shigeru and Henry. I have been scarred for life.
Hahahaha I am so much of a happy fangirl. Alec is so lovably violent and antagonistic and sarcarstic and self destructive, and Richard is self assured and flawed and kind of sweet. And they are so subtle and unconventional.
And I realised, Pammie knows every one of the characters in my whited out list above. :D

Liam Gallagher! And Andy Bell I think, please correct if wrong.
Noel!

Tonight, I'm a rock 'n' roll star
Drummer, Chris Sharrock I think.
Last desperate picture of Noel as they left the stage.Hamsty, me and Padma, after the concert.
I made a mistake, I Am The Walrus (Beatles cover) was the last song. It's so awesome, I was trying to find out what it was. Everyone went Whoo! during the chorus. :D
Click here to download all the photos. You have to download them separately though, so it's pretty tedious. I'm sorry. :/
I am the eggman (Whoo!)
They are the eggmen (Whoo!)

Champagne Supernova
CGSSB HAVING SYF TOMORROW I WANT TO GO BUT EVEN IF I DON'T ALL THE BEST AND CGSSB PERCUSSION = AWESOME FOREVER AND I'M PROUD OF MY JUNIORS!!
I miss CGSSB and the SYF craziness. And my section. Like the wishing at 1.11pm. And the getting so high backstage we weren't even nervous anymore. ):
I seem to be on a semi-permanent high. Excluding the moments when I was trying to keep awake in class today. Was seriously zombified during Bio and Math, but I'm still high from yesterday. Padma and Hamsty share the same sentiments. :D
Seriously, on my way to school today I was practically boucing. And trying to keep myself from grinning. Oh man. Though school dampened the effect somewhat, memories of the concert were probably what kept me going all day. :D
Although, now I can't remember anything clearly anymore! My memory span is so horribly depressing. Okay I should sleep more!! So that my synapses will form and my memory will be retained and whatever shit so that I can preserve images of Liam's face and the sheer awesomeness of Oasis.
I am really sorry for the incoherency of this post, I cringe at my own writing. But I can't call up my writing skillz right now and I think my 24 hour high has screwed up my brain but I have to go do homework. ):
Oh but pictures will be forthcoming soon if I don't get killed in school! They're in my com already and I'm having trouble opening videos with my Windows Media Player but if anyone wants I'll see what I can do about sending the videos.
Seriously, the mention of anything Oasis is probably going to set me off for the next week or so.
What's the story, morning glory?
Morning Glory
I am back from Oasis!!
My shirt/ dress and bag were soaked, and not all the sweat was mine. Heh. I went into a mosh pit with slippers and survived! Though remind me never to do that again. It was a bit intense at first, and I was worrying about squashing Padma's poster and my toe (which I injured this morning). But in the end I just stuffed the poster in my bag (It got majorly squished, which I will never stop apologising for, but at least it's an authentic squashed-by-maniac-Oasis-fans Oasis poster!) and gave up not trying to get my feet stepped on. The crowd was crazy at first, and there was a whole bunch of jumping and pushing, and I almost fell over but there were just more people to fall onto. But everyone got tired or something after a bit, and there was considerably less jumping and stuff. And everyone got completely drenched in sweat and nobody really cared about whose sweat they were getting on them or whose hair was in their face it was just OASIS OASIS OASIS. (:
We started out pretty far behind, feeling extremely short. Couldn't really see the stage, and most people were taller than even Padma. Hamsty and I had no chance at all. But then the Awesome Hamster pulled me to the front during the concert! Haha. We lost Padma for a bit, but then she found her way in front and we ended up being not five metres away from Liam Gallagher. :D :D :D Thank you to the Extremely Nice People who let me in front of them!! Because Hamsty would be in front of me with people in between, and we would be holding hands and then when they saw us they would just let me cut in front of them. This happened with a few different people. One guy even pushed me in front of him. So thank you!! As Padma said, people are pretty nice at concerts.
They played a lot of songs I didn't know though, which was sad. (Hardcore Oasis fan I apparently am not.) But there was Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, I'm Outta Time and Champagne Supernova. So awesome. (: People behind me were shouting for them to play Wonderwall, and before they did Liam introduced it as Some Might Say and they played Wonderwall instead, and everyone just went crazy. And they ended with Champagne Supernova which was (: (: (: words cannot describe. I was looking forward to them playing Talk Tonight, but oh well. THIS IS AS ACCURATE AS I CAN MANAGE, I AM SORRY IF THERE IS INCORRECT INFORMATION HERE BUT EVERYTHING IS A LITTLE BLURRY IN RETROSPECT. OH AND THEY PLAYED THE MASTERPLAN TOO HOW COULD I FORGET THAT!! So much awesome in two hours. (:
Liam is such a... rock star. When he wasn't singing, sometimes he'd just stand at the front of the stage and look down at all of us and just sort of revel in the total admiration/ adoration/ worship (I am not kidding when I use this word) of the crowd. Seriously. Oh oh and I thought he was wearing a trench coat, but Padma and Hamsty said it was a jumper! Hahahaha so cute and it had pockets!
And he threw a tambourine, which flew over my head! Sigh.
I am currently half deaf in the right ear which is a little worrisome but I suppose it will recover in time. I had no voice when the concert ended, I was singing/ shouting to the songs that I actually knew and attempting to scream and encore but I abandoned the latter two because my voice sounded so tinny to me that there was no kick to it. Hahaha. But my voice came back. ): I hope I have no voice tomorrow because then I can tell people that I shouted my lungs out for Oasis if they ask. :D
Sadly I cannot find the thing that connects the memory card to the computer and I am just dying to look at the videos but I can't. ): AND THIS DISTURBS ME but there was a guitarist in front of me whom I took the most/ best pictures of and I WAS AT THAT TIME UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WAS NOEL but I think Padma mentioned that it might have been Andy Bell but I actually still think it was Noel!! Because I went to google their images and it's probably either Gem Archer or Noel but neither Gem nor Andy sing (I think) SO I THINK IT IS NOEL.
I am such a bad Oasis fan. ):
Where were you while we were getting high?

Wonderwall
Helloooooo.
School's started again and the temporary reprieve we got from STUDY STUDY STUDY is gone. Not that I did that much studying... Which is evident as I appear to have failed all my H2s. And probably my H1 too. Although I scraped through GP! (And am slightly, secretly pleased. (:)
I can hear Taylor Swift's Love Story on the radio and why does everybody like that song? It's tolerable the first few times but after that I just want to smash things.
In other news, Oasis in six days!!!!!! V. v. excited. :D Although coincidentally, the concert falls on the one month anniversary of my iPod being lost. Still tragic, and still being missed. ):
F1 season has begun! :D I'm probably not going to pay much attention until later, but Kimi is back! And and and Jenson Button won, uh, the first grand prix of 2009 and I am pleased because when I am not rooting for Raikkonen I root for the underdogs. Heh. And okay, not so pleased that Hamilton placed third instead of Trulli. Otherwise, it would have been a happy, happy victory.
I am going to have another hot date with Jasmine on Friday! <3
OHNO I MAY HAVE BAND. Bloody hell. ):
Black shoes, tie and overcoat
Head full of lines and don't you know
I can see you coming from a mile

We Will Become Silhouettes
I am studying cell and nuclear division.
Because the air outside will make our cells
Divide at an alarming rate
Until our shells simply cannot hold
All our insides in, and that's when we'll explode
(and it won't be a pretty sight)

Um, Feist.
She is phenomenal. I am kind of in love with her.
And Train Song is stunning. Both the original Vashti Bunyan and the Feist and Ben Gibbard cover versions.
But I am disappointed to find out that Final Fantasy's remix of Your Ex Lover Is Dead isn't really awesome like I thought it would be. (Plus some other mortifying discovery.)
It's so many miles and so long since I've met you
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you

Peach Plum Pear
You know, every Friday after school I tell myself I will come home and actually study for once, but all good intentions are abandoned the moment I sit down in front of the computer.
I love my Friday afternoon schedule. It basically involves trawling Youtube for new bands and live performances.
There was For The Love Of God by Steve Vai, which he played with an orchestra, and it was really awesome. The oboe solo was stunning. And he is scarily good.
I love Owen Pallett's cover of Peach Plum Pear. Don't really like the original by Joanna Newsom though, her voice doesn't appeal to me. And Owen Pallett is kind of awesome, but I don't really get most of his other stuff.
I love the indie-ness of indie bands. (:
Oh and I suddenly had this urge to play the piano again. I get it once in a while. I actually like playing the piano, I just happen to be exceptionally bad at it.
Ahahahhahaha according to Wikipedia (which is totally awesome) under a search for indie rock, I listen to:
Britpop
Indie pop
Post-punk revival (not so much anymore)
Baroque pop (YES)
Indie folk
Whee!~
Haha the ~ was totally by accident. :D

15 Step
I was going to make this quick, because there are 2938547298457 other things I am supposed to be doing, but then I realised I am going to type a lot.
Just now I was quite pissed, at myself and also because apparently, 15 Step was played in Twilight's credits. First Supermassive Black Hole in the soundtrack, and now this? Muse, Radiohead, why. >:(
In other words, Thom Yorke!! Cute and spazzy. :D (I have no idea if the word spazzy exists or what it means, but it feels appropriate) My love for Radiohead is not waning. They have been monopolising my ipod for more than a week, I think. Trying to diversify now. Heh.
Also, two people pinched my cheeks today! This never happens. What happened?
Oh yes and Daisy is awesome awesome stuff and I will see her again on Friday!! and Hamsty's banana shirt is cool and she still ranks high on my list of most huggable people ever. (:
A red sun rises, blood has been spilt this night.
Says the pretty elf. ('Tis true.)
Love you.
P.S- I am not the biggest fan of 15 Step, but the thing at the Grammys was pretty cool. :D (I = Band geek)

It's What You Need
Hello~!
I felt that I must record this monumental moment!
a) It is a Monday night (note: weekday).
b) I had PE today (okay I cheated but it was still physical exertion).
c) I slept for four hours last night, tops.
AND I DID A WHOLE GP ARTICLE REFLECTION FROM SCRATCH. LIKE REALLY. And this is such an extremely big deal because I never actually do substantial homework on weeknights, if at all, and just. Plus it's only eleven thirty! And thus far I have not fallen asleep and I'm not even on coffee. :D
In other sad news, MY ENGLISH FAILS. I had to google monumental and exertion to see if I got the spellings right. And doing summaries is such a chore, words used to pop up at me but now I just stare blankly at my paper for ten minutes, trying to paraphrase.
And basically, that just means I have to start reading again. Ugh I suck, really. I think I am unable to read a book properly now and that just really scares me.

Going, Going, Gone
Oh oh oh wow I'm listening to a (supposedly) live version of Going, going, gone on Stars' Myspace and just. So much love. They sound so good. Okay and Amy Millan and Torquil Campbell sound like they're doing a Disney ballet but who cares they are just awesome.
Still hooked on cellophane
Hanging 'round the mall, and all
Each penny numbs the pain
Sends you gently for the fall
I am just kind of... swamped in Stars love.
Take me, take me to the riot
Edit: Okay, and there was this video with this caption: This is our friend ben doing a song some of you might know....he's dreamy isn't he? xo stars
And okay he's good and it makes my hair stand and then it ends and I realise it's Ben Gibbard.
Indie bands, <3.

2+2= 5
I need to screenshot a picture of Colin and Ryan from Whose Line Is It Anyway? because I can't find a funny one of both of them on Google! Even though I have no idea what they're doing half the time, <3.
Mm, Massive Attack.
I've been hooked on Radiohead recently. Muse hasn't gotten much airtime on my ipod.
But if you hurt what's mine
I'll sure as hell retaliate
You can free the world, you can free my mind
Just as long as my baby's safe from harm tonight

Ageless Beauty
Text message from Angelia:

I just realized we missed stars
)))))))))))):! D:! I didn't even realise it until then. ):
School starts in two days and I am screwed. In a way I am sort of looking forward to school because it's sort of interesting sometimes but exams suck and never ending homework sucks.
Been having band a lot and it felt like my whole life was about band and it was pretty okay actually. Was sort of fun and I'm going to miss that. Will miss my band friends too. ):
Have been kind of stupid too, but this stops now.
On Runescape:
Sister: That girl's a lesbian. She said I was a hot santa.
Me: Oh. Well the girl santa is kind of hot.
This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin
Tried to reach deeper, but you couldn't get in
Edit- Paragraphing and spacing is screwed!
